Forging stronger bonds: 1000MTG Australian Roadshow sparks connection and collaboration
1000 Mile Travel Group recently had the pleasure of connecting and collaborating with some of Australia’s best travel advisors during the Australian leg of its global roadshow.
Over the course of a week co-founder and CEO, Nicola Veltman, Chief Operating Officer, Craig Constable, and General Manager for the Australian business, Lauren Gray, visited three incredible cities and spent quality time networking and sharing industry insights with a host of travel agents.
“By bringing together like-minded professionals, we are able to share and learn from our collective expertise, introduce and collaborate on the efficiencies we’re rolling out this year to help our advisors get anywhere from 10-30% productivity back in their day, and ultimately build stronger and more sustainable businesses,” Nicola Veltman said.
At its core, face-to-face events like the roadshow are imperative to our travel advisor’s success, ingrained in the 1000 Mile Travel Group culture where business partnerships and life-long friendships are born. While 1000 Mile Travel Group travel advisors can work from anywhere, the strong like-minded network of peers and head office support means they never feel like they are working alone. This is ethos will continue to be part of the backbone of our organisation as we grow.
“We’re witnessing a powerful evolution at 1000 Mile Travel Group, where travel advisors are elevating their businesses to the next level supported by our training and propelled by our propriety technology and platforms which stand at the forefront of travel technology,” Veltman said.
During the Roadshow, the host agency and its advisors seized a valuable opportunity to engage with pivotal partners in the luxury hotel space including the Capella Hotel in Sydney, the Royce Hotel in Melbourne, and Crystalbrook Vincent in Brisbane. Thanks to their exceptional hospitality, the team and advisors enjoyed onsite tours, meeting room spaces, and even overnight stays all while receiving valuable insights and education about luxury travel trends and offerings.
“We understand the value of our partnerships, not just to our network of independent advisors but also to their clients, and can’t help but feel grateful for these incredible experiences and the hospitality of our partners. We can’t wait to bring this newfound knowledge and exposure to our network and support our partners in the luxury and corporate space as we continue to grow together,” Lauren Gray reflected.
Connecting with travel agents, meeting key partners, and learning from local travel experts has been invaluable. Not only has 1000 Mile Travel Group been able to strengthen its relationships but it has gained further insights and feedback from the Australian market that will help it continue to improve its services and support systems.
“It was inspiring to see firsthand the passion and dedication that these professionals bring to their work every day, and we were reminded of just how vital our community’s years of experience and expertise are to the success of the travel industry,” Craig Constable stated.
Reflecting on the roadshow, Veltman said “the backbone of 1000 Mile Travel Group success lies in the relationships fostered with its partners and advisors who become more like friends than colleagues.”
Looking ahead, the 1000 Mile Travel Group team will continue its strong focus on learning and development for travel advisors, with plans to hold more face-to-face events over the next 12 months, including professional development days and its big-ticket event, the much-anticipated second global conference in Los Cabos, Mexico in February 2024.
