1000MTG co-Founder and co-CEO Ben Ross steps down, Nic Veltman remains at helm

1000 Mile Travel Group today announced its co-Founder and co-CEO Ben Ross will step down on 1 January 2025 to pursue a new travel venture leveraging his extensive business growth experience and expertise.

Founded in 2014, 1000 Mile Travel Group has grown from a small Australian start-up supporting independent travel advisors to a global host agency operating across Australia, North America, and the UK. In 2022, 1000 Mile Travel Group was acquired by global travel management provider Corporate Travel Management (CTM), enabling the brand to fast-track growth into new international markets and leverage CTM’s scale, technology, and partnerships to become a truly competitive global host agency network supporting more than 750 independent travel experts.

Reflecting on his entrepreneurial journey, Ross shared “It has been an incredible journey over the past 10 years, and I have been privileged to share so many successes and milestones with my partner and co-CEO Nic Veltman, our broader team and agency network every step of the way.

“But my entrepreneurial spirit and passion has always been in the start-up sector, and as the 1000MTG business has grown from strength to strength, I have become increasingly aware that our start-up has in fact grown up. It’s with a heavy heart that I have made the tough decision to pursue an exciting new travel opportunity that aligns with my passion and capabilities in the start-up sector, and I know the experiences I have gained in growing the 1000MTG business and as part of the CTM Group will be invaluable in this next venture.
