1000 Mile Travel Group annual conference returns after a 3-year hiatus
Leading host agency 1000 Mile Travel Group hosted the annual “Elevate” Educational Conference for the first time in three years from September 29 to October 3, 2022, at the TRS Coral Hotel in Cancun, Costa Mujeres, Mexico. The four-day gathering celebrated the return of in-person travel and gave 88 of the group’s travel advisors and suppliers from across the United States a chance to reconnect, share and inspire one another as travel and the organization enters a new and exciting era.

Elevating independent travel businesses
The jam-packed agenda focused on ways to “Elevate” the advisor attendees’ independent travel businesses with affiliates attending product-themed workshops, educational sessions, sales and marketing training, and travel partner informational sessions.
Featured partners Delta Vacations and Delta Airlines were joined by other travel supplier sponsors including Princess Cruises, Globus Family of Brands, Apple Leisure Group, Hilton, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Viking, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Travel Guard, Collette, Oceania Cruises, Pleasant Holidays, Sabre, Tramada, and Travefy. Partners like Virtuoso and Trafalgar were also in attendance.
A private showing of the sensory sensation Chic Cabaret at the TRS Coral Hotel sponsored by Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean was a huge hit with the attendees.

Investing in new travel technology
New CEOs Ben Ross and Nicola Veltman also revealed that 1000 Mile Travel Group will be investing in technological enhancements, transitioning to Sabre 360 and Tramada, to support its growing global advisor network while ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
“We are seeing a huge demand for travel advisors, now more than ever, and the conference was vital in sharing our vision for 1000 Mile Travel Group’s future with our affiliates and partners personally as we work towards building a unified global market force.”
