1000MTG Australian Top Achievers Thrive in Fiji: A Blend of Luxury, Learning, and Business Growth
The 2024 1000MTG Australian Top Achievers Trip recently wrapped up, leaving participants with not only cherished memories but also new ideas and strategies to fuel their business growth. Held in the idyllic setting of Fiji, the event gathered the best-performing Australian travel advisors from across the country for a well-deserved retreat and an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and celebrate their successes.
A Blend of Relaxation and Networking
Jetting off from across Australia to Fiji thanks to Qantas, top Achievers, Kerri-Ann Coleman, Danielle Smith, Sam Rowe, and Stephanie McDonald were treated to serene luxury at the Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort on SavuSavu, a setting that encouraged both relaxation and meaningful conversations.
Lauren Gray, 1000MTG GM Australia, noted, “Arriving at the resort, you instantly feel a sense of calm and can’t help but feel relaxed. The staff treat you like family, and they really want you to feel like this is your home. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need.”
The peaceful ambiance allowed for a perfect blend of leisure and professional growth as advisors networked and shared insights on how to continue thriving in a competitive industry.

“I got great enjoyment and value out of the Top Achievers trip. Reconnecting with people I haven’t seen for a while, and meeting people for the first time, it was great to share knowledge and ideas, all while basking in the calm serenity of the resort… Belinda from ID travel was also a friendly and wonderful host,” says Sam Rowe, 1000MTG Australian Rising Star.
Bonding and learning
This year’s trip offered more than just a break from the day-to-day grind—it was a chance to build relationships and share ideas.
“It was a really amazing trip with the Top Achievers,” added Gray. “So great to get together, spend time working together, and sharing ideas! Prior to the trip, not everyone had met in person, but by the end of the trip, you would think everyone had known each other for years.”
1000MTG Most Engaged Advisor, Danielle Smith, echoed the value of the experience, stating, “I had a wonderful time away and learnt a great deal from the other top achievers. Networking and bonding with the others will really help my business grow even further!”

Adventurous escapes and team-building
While there was plenty of time for rest and reflection, the trip was also packed with exciting activities that took full advantage of Fiji’s natural beauty. Hosted by ID Travel Group Associate Director Asia Pacific, Belinda Layt, the group enjoyed a number of adventures, a day trip to Naviavia, a private island where they spent time snorkeling, hiking to a stunning waterfall, and soaking up the sun..
“Our time on SavuSavu was priceless. It was wonderful to connect and reconnect with other like-minded people to discuss our business’s future. My highlight was developing a relationship with Belinda Layt from ID Travel Group,” says Stephanie McDonald of the Travel Team, our Top Australian Team.

Looking ahead
The 2024 Australian Top Achievers Trip was more than just a reward for exceptional performance—it was an investment in the future. By fostering a sense of community among the top performers, the trip provided a platform for these advisors to inspire each other and grow both personally and professionally. As the group returns to their businesses, they do so with strengthened connections, fresh ideas, and a renewed passion for driving success in the travel industry.
This year’s trip serves as a reminder that while hard work and achievement deserve to be celebrated, the real value lies in the connections made and the lessons learned along the way.
“The 1000MTG network continues to grow stronger, and with experiences like these, it’s clear that the future of travel advising has never looked brighter,” says Gray.
