Returning to ILTM: Round two, and still surreal
After attending ILTM Singapore last year, I knew exactly what kind of whirlwind week I was in for—early starts, full days, fabulous events, and the kind of face-to-face time with suppliers and our Experts that makes all the difference. This was my second time at ILTM, so I arrived both excited and mentally prepared for what was ahead.
We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore, which absolutely lived up to the hype. The service was incredible, the rooms were gorgeous, the breakfast buffet was chef’s kiss, and the pool area (where I worked from on Friday!) was the cherry on top.
A glamorous welcome at the Ritz Carlton
While our Experts attended the Opening Forum on Monday night, I flew in a bit later and joined them for the Welcome Drinks at the Ritz Carlton. It was the perfect way to kick off the week—buzzing energy, incredible hospitality, and a chance to get the vibes up for what was to come.
Day one: Caviar, cocktails, and first-timers in awe
Tuesday kicked off our full schedule of supplier meetings. One of the highlights for me was seeing Luke and Olga walk into the expo centre for the first time—the look on their faces said it all. The supplier booths were next level, with some set up like full-scale bars. I even got handed an egg and caviar sandwich at the Marriott booth!
That evening, Deanna and I attended the Accor Luxury event at Raffles Singapore, which was absolutely unforgettable. We got a private tour from the sales director—including the presidential suite—and spent the evening chatting with industry legends like Reno from Accor Luxury and Jessica from One Fine Stay.
Day two: Meetings and local eats with the team
Wednesday was packed with more supplier appointments. That night, while Kurt and Luke went to the Marriott event, the rest of us had a more laid-back evening. Deanna, Olga, and I enjoyed a casual Escapes catch-up over local street food—a fun, grounding moment in a very full week.
Day three: Wrapping up strong at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore
Thursday marked the final day of supplier meetings, and by then, the energy was starting to dip—but everyone pushed through. At 5pm, we were whisked away to the Virtuoso & The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore event held in their stunning Historical Capitol theatre. The food was incredible, the setting was elegant, and we even squeezed in a site inspection of the hotel. It’s safe to say this is one property we’ll be talking about for a long time.
While Kurt and Luke represented us at the ILTM Closing Party, the rest of us opted for some well-deserved rest.
Why events like ILTM matter
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to attend ILTM Singapore. It’s not just about the luxury or the networking—it’s about spending quality time with our Experts and deepening our supplier relationships. Face-to-face time makes a world of difference in how we collaborate and grow together.
And yes—I came home with a list of incredible suppliers ready to partner with us for lunch & learns, events, and future collaborations. The momentum is real!
Supplier standouts im excited about
Here are a few highlights I’ll be following up on:
-
Hotel de la Coupole Sapa – MGallery (Accor): Like stepping into a Harry Potter film—stunning architecture in a magical mountain setting.
-
Luxurique: A Japan-based DMC specializing in ultra-high-end luxury experiences. Perfect for our most discerning clients.
-
Dorchester Collection: Incredible properties and an engaging rep, Parris Fotias. We’re looking to build a stronger relationship with their team.
-
JW Marriott Khao Lak: Amazing for families, and even more impressive with their community impact programs—employing unhoused locals and running a sustainable farm onsite.
